Maintenance Mode - Added EXTboard and modified comments
Well it took a bit longer to succeed but we finally added the latest version of EXTboard (1.1) wit h a great (huge) set of new features. You can check them all in this forum post. Ofcourse, thats the place to be to post bugs, comments ect. The EXTboard is in Beta so we love to hear feedback and bugreports.
We also modified the comments, they now are a bit more protected against those dirty ass spammers.
Thanks goes out to webadmin88 (comments) and goZOC for all the help with EXTboard.
After creating the new v7 mod download database I forgot to set another comment type for it. Result -> comments made on a v7 mod with the same item id with a v6 download where also displayed in the v6 mod/infusion....
Stupid me :D
Anyhow, it's fixed now but I was forced to delete some comments (sorry).
The team has worked hard the past 4 days. You can now download PHP-Fusion RC2 from the official main site, or from here . RC2 fixes several bugs found in the past days.
To update from v7 RC1, replace all files which are provided in the new RC2 package. You can also use this package to install PHP-Fusion 7. To update from v6.01.15, read the following tutorial:
Remember that Fusion v7 is using a different system so most infusions/mods designed from v6 won't work in v7. Disable or remove all third party mods/infusions before you upgrade!!!
All I can say is, applause for the PHP-Fusion crew!!!
The time has come, Digitanium is proud to announce PHP-Fusion 7. Although this isn't the final version, Digitanium announced that this is a quality working version.
You can install PHP-Fusion 7 clean or upgrade from Fusion v6.01.xx BUT infusions, themes and mods for v6 won't work on v7. You will have to modify, upgrade or delete those before you upgrade.
A bit unannounced but we moved the server. Reason is that 110MB changed the setup.
Nothing changed for the rest, it should be a bit faster. We were down for about 16 hours, too bad I didn't knew it upfront else I would warned you guys.
PHPFUSION-MODS.NET down for +- 24 hours | *Transfer Done!*
We are going to move to a better server (same host though) so phpfusion-mods.net will be down for approximately 24 hours (domain propagation). When returned you can enjoy your favorite mod site again!
Thanks and see you in 24 hours!
EDIT: Due to some problems at the new server, the move is prosponed to a later moment.
EDIT2: It took a bit of time (domain propagation :P) but everything is up and running again!
Digitanium announced that the PHP-Fusion 7 core has entered beta stage and that they expect to release it within the next 3-4 weeks. Quote from Digitanium:
"The development team have been working tirelessly since January, especially since the SVN was finally utilised. So what will version 7 feature? Well, take a look at the development log for starters as it shows the major changes since we began last year. There are numerous new features along with faster loading, enhanced security and a much more flexible theme engine."
We received the word that PHP-Fusion v6.01.14 is now available. This update isn't major but useful. We always advice to upgrade when available but keep in mind that some upgrades can interfere with previous installed mods. So always make a backup :)
Since v6.01.14 contained a small glitch, v6.01.15 was a quick follow-up. v6.01.15 patches a SQL injection vulnerability.
v6.01.14: You can download the upgrade version to upgrade from v6.01.13: v6.01.14 upgrade (1.58mb).
v6.01.15: You can download the full PHP-Fusion package here: v6.01.15 Full (this is a full version of PHP-Fusion, 2.04mb) or you can download the upgrade version to upgrade from v6.01.14: v6.01.15 upgrade (3.86mb)
Again, make backups before you do any upgrade/patching!!!
The crew of the main PHP-Fusion website have finished the work on Infusion SDK version 7. There have been some changes in the infusions section of PHP-Fusion V7.0 there for it will not be possible to directly infuse version 6.xx.xx infusions.
Digitanium also noted the following:
"Before I begin, we feel that v7 is dominating things here a bit too much. We want to very much continue support for v6 while development continues on v7. We have a significant backup of planned additions to v7, it'd be crazy to start adding to our current plans, so please let's not have any further requests for the time being. I must reiterate that v7 is not supported, hence we wont respond to such requests."
Digitanium has announce that the PHP-Fusion Core 7 SVN is now available. There is still al lot of work to do but the crew was confinced that infusion, themes and mod developers can start making the new add-ons. This way everybody is ready when version 7 is released officially.
Note: Version 7 is still in it's alpha stage, we will not be providing any support until the final release. You use this version at your own risk. We do not recommend that you use this version on a live site. Please do not seek technical assistance from this site or any other support site. Thanks!
An infusion developer kit is expected within the next day or so, followed by a number of guides over the coming weeks.
