 Need to turn off sendmail and get smtp on

i tryied to put my smtp settings on but it gives an error saying send mail is enabled. i need to turn it off from my fusion anyone know how i can do it ??

Then sendmail is enabled on your host. So you don't need to use SMTP.

i know but the send mail sucks big time, takes about 24 hours for the mail to arrive and with too much spam filters it dont send the registration mail sometimes so had to make it instant activate and the contact me page mail and guestbook posts mails dont arrive before a day . any way i can turn the send mail off ???

Can you please post your PHP-Fusion version and the exact error code? Also, when do you get this error? (so on which page/action). Reason why is that I can't reproduce your problem... Isn't life beautiful they way it is?

the version is 7.00.05 and when i put in the smtp and press save setting it gives me the error saying send mail is enabled cannot save setting. when i installed i had send mail and do even now but i cant turn it off from the server so is there any way can do it from the site mds/infusions file modification ?
