Hello everyone Looked all around, but since I am new to all of this , couldn't find what I was looking for. My apology if I am duplicating what is already here. I will try to explain the problem , hopefully someone can help. In php 7, is there a infusion, mod or something, that will allow me to merge threads. I hope I am using proper terminology to explain. For example, on the forum, there is two same threads, it allows me to redirect them, but only to a different forum, again as a new thread, it does not allow me to merge threds within the same forum, or when transferring from one forum to another, it does not allow me to transfer to a certain thread that already exists. My gosh, I hope some one will understand what I just said . Thank you in advance

The standard forum doesn't do that. If you download and install Fusionboard 4 (it's in downloads here) that has those merge thread functions. If you don't like the fusionboard 4, you can always just turn it off without having to muck about with codes etc. |

I must have done something wrong (again). Was I supposed to upload fushionboard 4 as an infusion? I did , but it did not recognize it. Thank you for being patient with me since I am new to all of this. |

You install all the files over the ones you have. Then you run /install.php. It will ask you if you want a fresh install or to keep your existing forums, of course if your site is already established you want to keep your existing forums. Once it's done, in the settings of fusionboard you can turn it off and go back to your usual forum format. |
