Ok, I am having troubles with my bbcode, whenever I try to use one on my site, it just refreshes the page and does not use the bbcode. Signatures wont show any image tags. I would post my code, but I dont know which file :/

Here is the very first thing I would try. Open up your FTP root files and then includes/bbcodes Look for a file called 'error_log' Throw the error log out and see if this corrects your problem. I had the same thing happen to me and this worked. Not sure why the error_log caused problems but it did. ![]() |

I don't have that error log too, Joe, I think that file was either from your FTP program or it was copied along with a bbcode. Anyhow, your problem sounds more that your bbcodes aren't being parsed. Have you made any changes lately? (installed mods, deleted mods, altered code) Isn't life beautiful they way it is?

The only thing I changed was the redirecting page for the ban system, but the bbcodes were not working before that. and installed the Secure Admin login. I am going to try overwriting all the main files that I have not modded. maybe a server hiccup. Edited by snowneo on 04-01-2009 14:33 |

Well are you sure it isn't caused by the Secure Admin Login? We also had problems with this mod!!

It was installed after the problem. Although I just rembered that I had changed all & to & to validate pages. So I undid that and now it seems to be working again. |

You should only change & to & when it's used in an URL.

The error_log is from the some servers if you have the error log feature turned on. My hosting service has that feature which is nice however, the reason I mentioned this above is that one error_log caused problems in my BB codes just like mentioned in the first post. If there are no errors in the root, includes, admin folders, etc., then that tells me there are no errors from any of the pages. If there is an error_log file, then it tells me exactly where any errors or problems may lie. Yes, if you don't have anything like that, then that is not the problem. Sorry for the confusion.
