 TWB / Extended Articles

Hi all, I'm testing out V7 on a test site and the articles infusion gives me this error. Both the Extended Articles that Elyn did and the original TWB articles. It's a huge pain as I have a lot of articles in my v6 site that I really don't want to do again if this infusion doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas what would cause this?? Notice: Uninitialized string offset: 0 in /home/www/v6fusion.freehostia.com/php-fusion/infusions/extended_articles/functions.php on line 152 |

uhm , not an php error i've seen when i tested it.. when i looked it up it comes that an german version whan out, with some fixes in functions.php but they where language fixes, when does this error occur? link?? YtterX

i think the array is empty .......thats why its gettting an notice error....I have seen ur site...try to add some articles on that ........let see then..

Ok I added a couple of articles, I even checked the line on priamos.php with the one on my v6 site and they are exactly the same. I thought it might be a theme thing so changed to Similitude06 as that's what it says it's based on, but still the same. Oh what a pain in the bum! |

Ok, just to let you all know what I did. I did a google on that error and found this forum/thread: http://www.costat....php?t=254 I tried what they said, ie: Open notepad, put this in it  Codedisplay_errors = offsave it as php.ini and put that file in /infusions/articles and Hey Presto! It worked. http://v6fusion.f.../index.php I don't really understand all this but somewhere in an ini file somewhere it had error and notice reports set to all, and this just turns them off for that particular infusion. Hope this helps someone if they have the same problem. Ps. I diffused the extended articles and infused the TWB Articles as that's the one on my V6 site. Edited by Bombastic on 19-02-2009 07:59 |

Anybody know why you can't read any more of the article with this infusion? It just goes back to the index??? |

well actualy the "fix" you applied is not an fix, it's a way to not show the error not fixing it

Yes I know, it's wasn't an error though it was just a 'Notice'. But this one is worse because I can't read the article, it just goes back to the index. I tried it after taking out the php.ini and it just goes to a blank page with the number 35, and that's it. |

Bombtastic I had that error but I didn't bother reporting it because at that time elyn was working on another infusion but that dissapointed me so i gave up tryin to find a decent articles, Instead i'm hoping someone can build one to my style/ taste. Hey mikey, yes that looks nice, but the thing is I need it to be like TWB Articles as that's what I have on my V6. I don't know quite how I did it but I diffused TWB and Infused Extended Articles, imported my articles data base from my other domain and it has worked. There's only Kroax, Articles, Photoalbum, Members and Forum Messages that I really want to make sure will transfer ok before I take the big jump. The rest are just mods or infusions that I can do again afterwards. |
