INSTALLATION
------------
1. Upload the images and videogallery folders to your root directory.
2. Go to Admin Panel -> System Admin -> Infusions and infuse the Video Gallery infusion.
3. Go to Admin Panel -> System Admin -> Site Links and add videogallery.php as a site link.
4. Access the administration panel of the Video Gallery, through Admin Panel -> Infusions -> Video Gallery
5. Done


NOTES
-----
-- Since video files are rather large, you will need to upload the videos through FTP access or other means.
-- Uploaded videos should be placed in the "Videos" directory located within the root directory. You may need to create this directory
-- The video file name that you save the video as in the admin area has to be the EXACT same as the filename of the video that you upload to the "Vidoes" directory.
-- Do not name videos with an uderscore between the title or they will not work. i.e. fuzzy_wuzzy.wmv will not work. fuzzywuzzy.wmv will work.

1. Go through Admin Panel -> System Admin -> Infusions Find Video Gallery and click the "Defuse" link

There will an update to this in a day or so. added the abilty to play .FLV files with a new player. and working on a tell a friend link for it.

why I cant seem to put it to work on v7, it doesn't even show on administration panel, but it does on the infusions....:bump:

Because it is a V6 Mod not a V7 and takes a whole heck of a lot of fiddling about to work in V7, not worth the hassle, as for: Badboy aka GoogleDude, v7 by Dallas your url: http://www.google...forums.com leads to your cPanel.

ok the one thats available for download is still for version 6, and it contains no side panel with random video. It was also mentioned above that your link just leads to a control panel.

Is there somewhere I can get the version 7 download. I got the version 6 one to work, but like I said there is no side panel, and I have no idea how to add a video to a video album

I got this to work now, but cant get any videos to go to the video albums. Directions arent very clear. I've tried uploading some videos (takes a long time, but Im patient) and when its done, nothing shows up. Is there some kind of tutorial on how to upload videos the right way? I dont want to play around with it because it takes so long for a file to upload that doing a few times could take all day.

I just put a comment on dtawebdesigns forum about this, see below:

Everything worked except 1 thing: The videos won't play.

- All files uploaded, checked, appropriate locations
- videos kept with simple names, tried 2 avi 1 flv in the video folder in the root
- for File Name field in Admin, i tried both the simple filename, (exact of course and simply the filename) and also the full path to the video
- i had the folder copied exactly as 'videos' (as in the archive supplied. Even tried renaming it as 'Videos' (w/ capital) as in the readme).

Done everything to the Tee, and it just doesn't play. Maybe it's a matter of codec or something? Although I tried to avi and a flv.

Yes, the filenames were kept short w/ chars only and matching admin to folder.

Too bad.


Btw, I have v7 and am referring to the v2.2 of this.
